Virtual “Weekend” of Recovery
January 22, 2022.
January 29, 2022
Over two Saturdays in 4-hour segments.
An intimate, dynamic experiential workshop for the diverse community of women and non-binary folks who have experienced sexual abuse or sexual assault. Because of the pandemic, we recognize a virtual format is the safest and most accessible way to create an environment for participants.
We are profoundly aware how difficult it can be for women to have a safe and confidential space, even in their own homes, as well as the time to participate because of relationship or family challenges or commitments. So, these recovery events are in smaller time segments over the course of two weekends, so that participants can make arrangements to join safely and confidentially. We have designed the 3 hour blocks so that all can participate across the time zones.
The TBO Zoom Virtual Days will shorter but no less potent than an in-person weekend. With music, movement, art and small group process, the Days will offer participants ways to to be safely heard and seen when and if they choose,. This Weekend will provide an opportunity for them to disclose with respect and compassion for themselves and with art, movement and process, learn tools to become more present in their own bodies. They will explore how to communicate with significant others about the changes they make in their personal lives and recovery. Most importantly, participants will have the opportunity to experience safety in the company of other survivors and within themselves as they discover the power of community in healing.
