Any donation– large or small, has an impact on what we do.

Our organization is unique. Attending one of our weekends or nights of healing offers women survivors an opportunity to heal through empowerment and engagement.

A contribution of just ten dollars could help us to purchase art supplies offering an opportunity to connect through creativity. A fifty-dollar gift helps us to provide nurturing food for a participant throughout the weekend, and gifts of one hundred dollars or more allows us to provide partial scholarships to women looking to take this brave step in their recovery. 

Weekends of Recovery provide an unprecedented source of support and resources for survivors. Yet, because of the attention to space, safety, and the ratio of facilitators to participants, they are expensive to run. Taking Back Ourselves subsidizes each participant’s costs. In addition, we provide substantial scholarships to several participants at each event.  

Every donation you give goes directly to Taking Back Ourselves programming, space, scholarships and paying the facilitators' stipends. Any amount is welcome!  

If you would like your donation to go to a specific aspect of TBO programming, (art supplies, scholarships, operation expenses, etc.) please indicate when donating.

This kind of gift is priceless to our survivor community and continues to support survivors long after the initial financial contribution. When you make a TBO Memorial donation, you will receive a beautiful momento e-card commemorating this special donation sent by email for donations ranging from $1-$249 and via postal mail for donations of $250+.
